This is the Type E-1 emergency vest, adopted around 1950.
The original E-1 vest had pockets on both sides to store a radio and battery,
and a tape that went around the waist to secure them to the body!
However, this E-1 vest has removed the waist tape,
changing it to a simple and rugged design ♬
