JELADO entrusted the production of this T-shirt to Mr. Ono, representative of Rebuild.
Mr. Ono, who knows vintage T-shirts inside and out,
thoroughly supervised everything from fabric and sewing to machine selection!
This luxurious piece pursues "authentic comfort" rather than production efficiency,
using multiple vintage sewing machines to finish a single T-shirt!
Based on 1940s U.S.M.C. (United States Marine Corps) cotton T-shirts,
this is a carefully crafted JELADO piece that faithfully reproduces the sewing specifications and fabric feel of the time!
The greatest charm is the original jersey fabric, slowly knitted on a rare loopwheel knitting machine in Wakayama Prefecture.
Using 14-count open-end yarn, it achieves an exquisite texture that is moderately dense yet retains softness.
The soft comfort and material that conforms to the body the more you wear it,
are the unique charms of loopwheel knitting!
The sewing also incorporates thorough attention to detail.
The shoulders and sleeves feature FLATLOCK stitching using vintage sewing machines,
and silk thread is used on the back of the collar to enhance strength and elasticity!
To finish a single T-shirt, multiple vintage sewing machines are used,
meticulously pursuing the specifications of the 1940s down to the finest detail!
