JELADO entrusted the production of this T-shirt to Mr. Ono, representative of Rebuild.
Mr. Ono, who knows everything about vintage T-shirts,
thoroughly supervised everything from fabric and sewing to machine selection!
This luxurious piece pursues "authentic comfort" rather than production efficiency,
by using multiple vintage sewing machines to finish a single T-shirt!
Based on the 1940s U.S.M.C. (United States Marine Corps) cotton T-shirt,
this JELADO masterpiece faithfully reproduces the sewing specifications and fabric feel of that era!
Its greatest appeal is the original jersey fabric, slowly knitted on rare loopwheel knitting machines in Wakayama Prefecture.
Using 14-count slub yarn, it achieves an exquisite texture that is moderately dense yet retains its softness.
The soft comfort and the material that conforms to your body with wear
are unique charms of loopwheel knitting!
Thorough attention to detail is also packed into the sewing.
FLATLOCK stitching using vintage sewing machines is adopted for the shoulders and sleeves,
and silk thread is used for the back of the collar to enhance strength and elasticity!
