Unlike standard Vietnam jackets featuring the classic map embroidery,
this faded version features a large embroidered panther.
This design is a reproduction of a custom order made by a U.S. soldier
stationed at Cam Ranh Port in South Vietnam between 1965 and 1966.
Vietnam jackets from that era often featured embroidery that reflected
the soldier’s personal sentiments and the places they stayed.
In addition to the panther embroidery on the back,
there is a Vietnamese landscape on the right chest, the characters for "Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity" (Fukurokuju) on the left chest,
and large dragon embroidery on the sleeves.
The fading process gives it a great, weathered look, just like a well-worn vintage piece♬
Personally, I recommend styling it with a simple inner layer and jeans
to make the jacket the star of your outfit(^^)v
It's a perfect piece to make the centerpiece of your look in the coming season(^^)/
