CUSHMAN 22192 13.5oz XX DENIM 1937 MODEL
CUSHMAN 22192 13.5oz XX DENIM 1937 MODEL
These are LEVI'S 1937 MODEL denim pants, with all sewing done using vintage sewing machines such as SINGER and UNION SPECIAL.
Initially, they had suspender buttons and a cinch back but no belt loops. Then, belt loops were added, and as belts became more popular, the suspender buttons were removed, leaving only belt loops and a cinch back.
The cinch back is a unique detail that was later omitted due to specification changes caused by wartime material controls during World War II.
Another distinctive detail is the transition from exposed rivets, which had been used for many years to reinforce the back pockets, to hidden rivets.
"BLUE CYLINDER & CO★JAPAN"
This is the first time original tack buttons with a name are used.
The denim fabric features a blue color that emphasizes the blueness seen in models before the war. The slubbing in the weft is slightly stronger than in the warp, and you can enjoy the rough texture of the back of the fabric.
While the silhouette is slightly O-shaped, it is a regular straight cut, and the shape is not so noticeable when worn.
