A short-sleeved kasuri shirt made using the traditional Japanese dyeing method , "black crest dyeing."

 

The history of Kyokuro Montsuki dyeing dates back to the Heian period.

To achieve a deep color, the base dye is applied multiple times and the colors are layered on top of each other.
