This oiled leather was developed exclusively by Horween, a tannery in Chicago, USA.
This tannery, which has a history of over 100 years, is also famous for supplying cordovan to brands such as Alden.
During the tanning process, the leather is slowly soaked in a special oil made from a blend of beef tallow, beeswax, fish oil, etc.
Because it contains a lot of oil, it has a deep, luxurious appearance.
When you touch it, it feels moist and heavy.
