The M-51 parka is an evolution of the field parka adopted by the US Army during World War II , and its influence is immeasurable, with many of its designs still used in civilian clothing today .

It was introduced in 1951, shortly after the outbreak of the Korean War, when a layering system was adopted over uniforms in the extremely cold Korean Peninsula, and it also came with a removable liner.

Around the same time, in the early 1950s, the US Air Force developed the MA-1, a masterpiece flight jacket.

The MA-1, which was developed through repeated trial and error in the B-15 series, is extremely attractive with its functional details and easy-to-move design.

This M-51 parka comes with an MA-1 liner that can be worn reversibly.

Buzz Rickson's, which was founded in 1993, will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2023.
