This is a black version of Buzz Rickson's blue chambray shirt, a bestseller for over 20 years since its release.
The chambray shirt adopted by the U.S. Navy is a long-standing utility shirt that has been issued from the 1930s to the present.
This chambray shirt is a reproduction of the shirt adopted in the 1950s.
While there were changes in pattern and specifications over time, the shirts adopted from the beginning of its adoption until the 1950s featured gussets on both sides of the hem and a placket on the collar with a collar stand, specifications from a good old era.
The chambray fabric of this era has a loose tension, and it shrinks with repeated washing, creating a unique texture.
