BUZZ RICKSON'S BR29659 UTILITY SHIRTS N-3 "CONTRACT NTsx-83000" Long Sleeve Military Utility Shirt U.S.NAVY

The N-3 utility shirt was adopted by the U.S. Navy in the 1940s.

It was categorized under the "N-3 Uniform" combat/workwear setup, consisting of four items: the N-3 jacket,N-3 trousers, N-3 cap, and N-3 shirt.

While the other three items were made of herringbone twill, the shirt used a light ounce cotton poplin material,considering its use in subtropical regions.

Reinforcing gussets are attached to both sides of the hem, and fine gathers are incorporated into the back yoke and cuff seams, revealing that this shirt was made in an era where attention to detail and careful craftsmanship were paramount.

A short-sleeved model of the same design is also available.
