BUZZ RICKSON'S M43036 EARLY MILITARY CHINOS 1942 MODEL Airy Military Chinos
BUZZ RICKSON'S M43036 EARLY MILITARY CHINOS 1942 MODEL Airy Military Chinos
A model that reproduces the 1942 military chino.
The sides, inner thighs and seat are made with twin needle chain stitching.
At the time, there were only a limited number of sewing machines capable of sewing with this specification, so even vintage chinos are fewer in number compared to chinos with a split seam.
The front features metal buttons engraved with US ARMY, and the pocket openings are double-welted, requiring advanced sewing techniques.
It has a deep rise and a loose, wide silhouette.
During World War I, soldiers wore jodhpur-style pants called "breeches," but during World War II they transitioned to trousers (slacks), which were officially adopted by the Army Air Corps in 1937.
However, the trousers issued in the early stages were poorly received by soldiers, so the military brought in private companies to improve quality.
As a result of these repeated improvements, various styles of military chinos were created.
Material: 100% cotton
