No.5 Denim 15oz "Rogue Denim"

15-ounce denim produced on old-fashioned shuttle looms in Ibara City, Okayama, a hub of Japanese denim.

"Rogue Denim," named for its "wild, uneven texture" and "deep indigo color," is the first denim from Deluxeware to feature unique vertical fading and aging.

This original denim uses size 6 American cotton yarn for both the warp and weft; the warp is created with a wild, uneven shape, while the weft uses straight-shaped yarn.

(1) Vintage Stitch

"Vintage stitch" refers to the method of using and sewing with thread. It features 14 types of sewing threads used for a "chunky" stitching finish, creating high tensile strength. The bold stitching and puckering evoke a true vintage feel.

(2) Union Special 43200G 4-Roll Sewing

The "four-roll" hem is a product of chance from the era when vintage jeans were manufactured. It involves sewing in more fabric than usual, resulting in a supreme hem finish with an excellent aesthetic. The narrow-width finish is unique to Deluxeware quality.

(3) Eagle Arch Pocket

The back pocket, the "face" of the jeans. It is constructed in the same way as vintage jeans, with extra seam allowance folded in. You can enjoy intense fading. Eagle Arch Pocket.

(4) Crimson Bartack

The key to spotting high-quality denim is checking the bar-tacks. The technique of leveling out the gap between the pocket and the main fabric creates strength that lasts through long-term wear. Crimson Bartack.

(5) Out-Seam [Red Line]

Jeans manufactured in large-scale factories back in the day involved many people and various techniques. Meandering stitches were common. Yet, there is something about that meandering stitch that gives it a rough, tough, and tasteful quality.
