The derived variations are interesting, and when including the texture of the cotton knit, there are dozens of types.

In the early 1950s, with the evolution of technology, new spinning machines became available on the market, making it possible to spin cotton into yarn faster and more efficiently. Thanks to these spinning machines, sweatshirts are said to have become even more widespread.

These spinning machines had a distinctive yarn quality, with a dry and firm texture, and these characteristics were inevitably reflected in the resulting cotton knits.
