As with Lee's workwear, we aimed to develop a new, unprecedented flannel fabric by conducting detailed analysis of fiber length, twist factor, count, and thread count .

Representative brands that made flannel shirts before the 1950s include Pilgrim, Winterking, and Kingkole, but this time we will be analyzing Pilgrim's flannel shirts.

In the process, we focused on the differences in warp and weft thread count, as well as the thickness and number of weft threads.

We believe that the difference in warp thread count (16/1) and weft thread count (3.5/1), as well as the thickness of the weft thread and the small number of threads woven, are factors that created the unique texture of flannel shirts of that time.

This flannel shirt has been dyed using sulfide dyes.

Demand for sulfur dyeing has decreased in recent years, and raw materials are also becoming scarce, but we have created flannel shirts using this rare material.
