Black Tag 301EXX Denim

Using the black tag, we have recreated the early 1947 model, which is highly popular among the succession of XX models.

This is a special denim created with a new approach from denim that has been dismantled, analyzed, and reproduced from the original XX.

We sampled from an actual 32-inch vintage piece—the so-called "golden size"—owned by Jelado, and thoroughly recreated the fit of that era.

The piece we approached this time reproduces identifiable era-specific details such as the leather patch, single-sided tab, long side stitches, and the thick belt loops similar to those from the WWII era. We also faithfully recreated the unique quirks of this specific pair, such as the coin pocket being sewn on quite low and the generous seam allowance on the back pockets.

A LAST RESORT black tag has been sewn onto the pocket opening.

The inseam is sewn in three stages to ensure prominent fading.

We have sewn the garment while considering the intentions behind the original design, such as offsetting the back yoke seam and staggering the length of the waistband on the inside and outside to minimize tension.

We have approached this reproduction by understanding the fit intended by Levi's and the original philosophy of creating construction that prevents the thread from breaking easily.

Original iron buttons with plating are used.

Features a single-sided rayon tab, original copper rivets, and a horse leather patch; because the surface is rough, the print does not set easily, resulting in individual variations in each patch.

While it feels stiff at first, from the second day onwards, you will feel the same softness and stretch in the fabric as the white tag models.
