The 1970s was a decade when the high-growth economy that had continued since the postwar period came to an end, and societal values and the way young people lived underwent significant changes. In the United States, while the optimistic mood of the time was shaken by the Vietnam War, the Watergate scandal, and the oil crisis, a variety of cultures not bound by conventional values, such as hippies, disco, punk, skateboarding, and surfing, flourished.

In Japan, too, the Osaka Expo, the entry of American companies into Japan, and the appearance of the 'Made in U.S.A. Catalog' rapidly accelerated the longing for cultures from across the ocean.

As if rebelling against the adults who had experienced the war, young people began to incorporate their own version of America into their daily lives through fashion, music, and leisure.

It was a turbulent era where social anxieties and free expression coexisted, and the prototype of the lifestyles that continue to this day was born.

If we trace the roots of the fashion, music, and leisure that we enjoy today, we find the 70s.

Therefore, in our special feature, we will revisit the 70s and unravel how it influenced contemporary fashion and culture.

Furthermore, our second feature reveals the beloved cars of people active in the fashion industry.

For them, their cars are not just a means of transportation, but also a partner and a tool to express their individuality.

We took a peek into their lifestyles alongside their beloved cars.

In addition, this issue also includes the official guide for the Inazuma Festival, to be held in Fukuoka on August 9th.
