Standard Straight

A pair of 14oz selvedge denim 5-pocket jeans, developed by deconstructing and studying vintage garments, with obsessive attention paid to seam allowances and subtle curves.

When we took apart vintage pieces, we paid close attention to the "seam allowance"; this specific width creates the beautiful puckering.

The cut is based on a standard straight fit from the 1960s with a slight taper.

We deliberately use loom-state fabric (raw denim). Because the fabric is used as it comes off the loom, it exhibits "skewing" and "shrinkage."

Original iron buttons are used. The backs of the iron tacks are engraved.

The rivets are a combination of copper and copper-plated iron.

The coin pocket is cut with the fabric grain vertical to allow for "lightning bolt" style fading.

As it has not undergone anti-shrinkage or singeing processes, the fabric will twist and fuzz with wear, creating unique fading and textures in the details.

The pocket is hand-stamped; the fading of the stamp varies on each individual pair.

The character of the jeans changes as you wear them, making them a pair you can enjoy aging over time.
