About 100 years ago in Japan, the Taisho era saw the beginnings of Western culture being introduced into the country, and in the art world, the predominantly traditional Japanese graphic styles underwent significant changes.

This period of transition to a new culture and a new era, where people lived imagining their ideal future, led to their individuality and culture being dubbed "Taisho Roman" (Taisho Romance) by the people.

Based on color combinations symbolic of that era, I depicted a geisha, one of the enduring aspects of Japanese culture.

This original heavy-weight T-shirt series is made from carefully selected high-quality raw cotton, slowly knitted with thick 14-count slub yarn on an old-fashioned circular knitting machine called "Daimaru-ki," which was active in Japan in the early Showa period, resulting in a rich texture.

Knitted at a low speed with thick single yarn, this fabric possesses a warm and flavorful appearance, combined with a sturdy feel and supple softness.

The collar features a highly durable binder neck with three-needle stitching, designed to resist stretching even after repeated wear.

The garment is sewn with a special sewing machine using a three-needle, one-drop stitch.

This T-shirt series is crafted with care, offering both increasing texture and strength with every wear.
