A Historic Pair, the Roots of Sugar Cane

Toyo Enterprise was founded in 1965, starting as a manufacturer of clothing for US military bases and a distributor of US military surplus to Japan.

Then, in 1975, when it transitioned into a clothing manufacturer for the domestic market, it was named "SUGAR CANE" by an officer stationed at a US military base.

From the beginning, we have been committed to "Made in Japan" denim, manufacturing for nearly 40 years.

In the 1960s, Sugar Cane produced jeans with star-shaped stitching by order of the US military PX (post exchange) stationed in Japan.

Based on that pair, which can be called the brand's roots, these "Star Jeans" have been revived in the modern era.

The silhouette is a regular straight, similar to the 1947 model (Lot No. SC41947).
