SC41947 14.25oz Denim 1947 Model

Toyo Enterprise was founded in 1965, starting out by manufacturing clothing for U.S. military bases and acting as a distribution channel for U.S. military surplus in Japan.

Then, in 1975, when the company transitioned to becoming a domestic clothing manufacturer, it was named "SUGAR CANE" by an officer stationed at a U.S. military base.

From the very beginning, we have been committed to "Made in Japan" denim, crafting products for nearly 40 years.

This pair of jeans faithfully reproduces every luxurious detail found in jeans from the late 1940s.

Dozens of different types of cotton thread, varying in color and thickness, are used and applied selectively throughout the sewing process.

Using a blend of Zimbabwean and American cotton, we recreate vintage-style uneven yarns, which are woven on old-fashioned looms just as they were back then.

Based on 1947 vintage jeans, the "1947 Model" replicates the fabric, parts, patterns, and sewing specifications of the original. Not only is the cut standard, but the product quality—including the yarn, dyeing, sewing, and specifications—is exceptional. Combined with an affordable price point, this pair has been loved by many for years and stands as the signature jeans of Sugar Cane!
