SUGAR CANE SC49005 Super “Denim” Collectibles #05 14.25oz. Blue Denim Waist Overalls “1942” Model
SUGAR CANE SC49005 Super “Denim” Collectibles #05 14.25oz. Blue Denim Waist Overalls “1942” Model
At first glance it looks like a 1937 model, but it is actually a very rare early 1942 model with the words "Copyright 1942" written at the bottom of the flasher.
It was produced for only a short period between April and August 1942, and still has the backstrap and crotch rivets.
While the 1937 model used regular copper rivets with crushed heads for the concealed rivets, this model uses special iron rivets.
With this change, Flasher's "CONCEALED COPPER RIVETS" has been renamed to "CONCEALED POCKET The name was changed to "RIVETS".
The denim fabric is of a thickness and texture that is clearly different from the 1937 model, and the black-plated iron buckle, which is unique to this model, has been specially made.
The tacks on the back of the buttons are copper-plated.
SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles
SUGAR CANE Super “Denim” Collectibles is a new label launched by Sugar Cane's Yuichi Fukutomi, bringing together denim specialists.
Commonly known as "SCSC," this second edition will also feature Shigeki Wakiya, one of the world's leading vintage denim collectors, who will perfectly recreate the "individuality" of these precious pieces, based on deadstock and golden size super vintage pieces that are now almost impossible to obtain.
Following on from the first collection, the second collection also features three super vintage "war models" that are attracting the most attention in the vintage market.
Based on extremely rare vintage items that have not even been washed, deadstock, and are in mint condition with signs of wear but almost no fading, we have conducted detailed analysis of the oxidized indigo color with remaining glue, the properties of the cotton used in the warp and weft, and the shape of the thread, resulting in a finish that is indistinguishable from vintage items.
The parts are made from deadstock with the aim of giving them a texture that has changed over time.
This project also uses two-needle steel buckles, which have previously been avoided for safety reasons.
As for the stitching, not only has the thread count and sewing machine pitch been kept the same, but the distorted stitching seen during the war, with its uneven width, has also been brought back to life in modern times.

*This item is made of raw denim fabric that has not been treated with shrinkage prevention.
Non-washed products will shrink in size after washing.
Please note that shrinkage may vary depending on how you wash and dry your items at home.
