After the war, souvenir jackets (Sukajan) are said to have originated when U.S. military personnel stationed in Japan had their unit emblems and other designs embroidered as souvenirs.

The predecessor of Toyo Enterprise Co., Ltd., Kosho & Co., was involved in its creation.

It was a trading company established through the dissolution of zaibatsu, and since it was involved in the import and export of fabrics, it also had deep ties with fabrics for Aloha shirts.

This product, which is being reissued for the third time, features eagles, tigers, and dragons, which were popular designs among the souvenir jackets produced by Kosho & Co.

At that time, all fabrics with Oriental designs (Japanese patterns) printed on crepe material were printed in Japan, and the Aloha shirt movement that swept through Hawaii and mainland America after the war had a significant impact on Japan.

This product was originally produced by Kosho & Co. for sale at PX (post exchange) stores on U.S. military bases, and it is a very rare item with the brand name "FASHION MART" which Kosho & Co. used when exporting overseas.
