The appeal of this piece is the vivid golden-colored thread that sets it apart from other vintage items.

The most distinctive feature is the dragon embroidery that undulates all over the sleeves.

Usually, the main feature of a Sukajan jacket is the embroidery on the back, but with this jacket, it is no exaggeration to say that the dragon on the sleeve is the star of the show.

The dragon's body undulates, wrapping around the entire arm from the shoulder to the cuff, and the embroidery is large, making it a very dynamic and rare design.

The base is a vintage from the mid-1950s.

The "Bamboo Tiger" on the back, roaring on the rocks with a river flowing through it, is a traditional Japanese motif, but the bamboo is embroidered in blue thread and the rocks in red, creating a gorgeous finish with the three primary colors standing out against the black velvet.

In this piece, the word "Japan" is also in red, and the rare color combination of the embroidery is accentuated with solid white ribbing.

The reversible side features a map of Japan, commonly known as the Japan map pattern.

The blue satin fabric, reminiscent of the blue sky and ocean, contrasts with the yellow embroidery and ribbing.

Usually, eagles depicted on maps are often deformed, but in this work, the eagle's wings are realistically depicted, even down to the precise stinging legs and gradation.

Among the many Japan map designs, this is a particularly outstanding and luxurious embroidery.

The body specifications are also unique, and unlike regular velvet Sukajan jackets, it has no padding.

It is reversible velvet and satin, but it reproduces the rare detail of not having quilting stitches.
