A custom-ordered piece from a U.S. soldier stationed at the port of Cam Ranh in southern Vietnam from 1965 to 1966.
The back features a stylized panther face, and such embroidered pieces are rare.
The right chest depicts a Vietnamese landscape, the left chest bears the three characters for "Fukurokuju" (good fortune, prosperity, and longevity), and the dragon on the sleeve is a size larger than those on typical Vietnam jackets, making this a reproduction based on an extremely rare vintage item.
The rayon-blend cotton twill has been aged to recreate the faded colors of the fabric and embroidery thread that occur over time.
Featuring a supple texture and drape, you can enjoy the look and feel of a vintage piece from the moment you wear it.
