Corsica, France, also known as the birthplace of Napoleon, is a beautiful island in the Mediterranean Sea.

It is located about 180 km southeast of Nice and about 120 km southwest of Florence, closer to Italy than to France.

The history of conflict between the indigenous islanders and the ruling class from the central area is similar to that of Sicily, an Italian island located 700 km south of Corsica.

There was also a populist force in Corsica that was equivalent to the Sicilian Mafia (or its predecessor), and they lived in hiding in the mountainous regions of the island and were feared as bandits.

Many old postcards from Corsica, a popular tourist destination, feature the motif of bandits.

The Montagnard Poncho was designed with inspiration from the cape worn by the bandit in the postcard .

*Montagnard means "mountain people" in French.

Made from lightweight and warm wool melton.

Although it has a unique old-fashioned feel, it has a functional design that can be worn over a jacket at any time and has sleeves.
