Playing a role in the creation of V. Hilts’ character

was his stoic, uncompromising dedication

to his costume.

Among these, the khaki trousers, which he modified

himself even at the cost of historical accuracy, are exceptional.

This model has been recreated based on thorough research,

from the silhouette to the color tone of the fabric,

and is an indispensable staple alongside the A-2 jacket.

The front features a button fly,

like military chinos. The buttons are urea buttons chosen with vintage styles in mind.

The back pocket is a single-welt design,

which enhances the durability of the pocket.

It features a clean, sleek look around the hips.

Inside the waist is a costume label reproduced from the original.

Such faithful reproduction is a testament to Mr. Okamoto’s

affection for McQueen.

The fabric is a cotton twill chino with a slight sheen and a tightly woven grain.

It has a fine, elegant finish.

The weight is on the heavier side for a chino,

giving it a sense of toughness as well.

Toys McCoy possesses a vast archive related to the film "The Great Escape."

From that collection, we have recreated the scene of

McQueen’s jump depicted on a rare poster

produced at the time of the theatrical release.

Using the T-shirt as a canvas,

the hero attempting to break through the barbed wire

strung along the Swiss border is brought back to life.

It features the slim, clean silhouette that McQueen

himself reportedly arranged.
